Where I’ve been

I can tell you where I’ve been but what I can’t tell you is how many hotels, restaurants, shops, beaches, buses, trams, railways, métros, rainforests, deserts, lakes, cafés, juice bars, boutiques, boats, airplanes, airbnb’s, historical sites, monuments, wonders, and people I’ve come to know and love. If you’ve got questions about the best things about any place on this list, send me a message. I’d love to share.

And if you are planning a trip, or just want to see your own city in a new light, the Monocle Travel Guides are incredible. My favorite part of these books is the “Walks” section. They give you a dozen or so stops in each of the different neighborhoods and by the end of the day, you really get a feel for the character and culture of the neighborhood.

“Travel isn’t always pretty. It isn’t always comfortable. Sometimes it hurts, it even breaks your heart. But that’s okay. The journey changes you; it should change you. It leaves marks on your memory, on your consciousness, on your heart, and on your body. You take something with you. Hopefully, you leave something good behind.”
