Harper Tunic by Elizabeth Suzann Studio
My favorite shirt, the Harper Tunic, is designed and created by Elizabeth Suzann Studio. Made of linen, it’s Japanese inspired and has a spaciousness and flow that is unique. I feel confident, elegant, and stress free each time I wear it. I can dress it up or down. I’ve even worn it to bed. Elizabeth Suzann resurrected the foundations of slow fashion, ethical practices, and creating locally. She’s the heart of the movement against fast fashion and continues to parter with those making the world a better place (check out these candles-you won’t be sorry). She began offering patterns for my favorite Georgia Midi Dress and Florence Pant during the pandemic, sharing her gifts with the world. I love her, what she stands for, and what she makes more than I can express.
I can’t share my love for Elizabeth Suzann Studio without paying homage to Beth Kirby. Discovering Beth Kirby, and her blog, Local Milk, was kismet. I needed inspiration and a fresh take on life. I felt a real connection with her and I trusted her. Beth passed in 2022. Her effect on the world is unquantifiable. She had fierce creativity and made her way in the world by feel. She introduced me to Elizabeth Suzann and for that, I’ll be forever grateful. Her blog has had many posts in the last few years from creative people, but my favorites are still Beth’s. She was decades ahead of her time so even when you go back 5 years in her blog, you’ll learn something inspirational to employ today.
