Vegan at Home Cookbook
I loved the cover of the Vegan at Home cookbook. I found it at Sojourn and was really excited flipping through to see the chef included recipes for nut milks and tofu. We’re always wondering what is in vegan processed food and making tofu at home sounded really freeing. I read the author’s note and was so pleased with her story. We’ve been making dishes from the book for months now and are completely taken aback by some of the flavor combinations we never thought to put together but are so perfect.
Sometimes, cooking vegan can seem daunting because recipes can have upwards of 30 ingredients and local grocers may not have specific spices. Vegan at Home includes Gomasio (a new favorite rivaling Everything Bagel Seasoning) in some of the bowls and we were able to source it at Thrive Market, an online shop dedicated to organic food delivery. It’s a subscription service and has been really helpful. Now, we get things from Thrive we’d normally get at the grocery store because it’s so convenient. If you can make the shopping easier and prep your sauces in advance, cooking becomes a piece of cake!
