Hotel de Nell, Paris

On our last trip to Paris, our goal was to enjoy as much of the city as possible, no side trips to neighboring countries, no trips to the countryside, just beautiful, romantic, magical Paris. It was on the shorter side, so we picked a new hotel that felt fancy. The soaking tup sold it for us. It’s located in a calmer neighborhood but still close enough to the metro that it was easy to travel anywhere in town. Those who checked us in were perfectly polite, the bedding was lush and soft, the soaking tub was a dream after a chilly spring adventure, the restaurant was delightful, and the decor has a modern, minimalist sophistication that meets natural beauty.

Each day as we left the hotel, those working would remind us to call 45 minutes before returning, no matter what time that happened to be. We consistently surprised ourselves by staying out until 2am or 3am and an even sweeter surprise was the person on the other end of the phone being so kind at that hour. They’d fill our tub for us so when we got back, we could slide right in. So very lovely.
